Why does the non-climber long to go to the mountains? For the same reason as a climber goes. What do they find there? It's a possibility to experience a real life in a real place. It's also a possibility to test oneself (if everything turns out to be alright) and once again to consider himself a real person. Nowadays, ascents become very attractive for those who are strong and steadfast but not skilled enough in climbing. In the West such a 'vertical safari' is becoming a business.
