While signing an agreement in Kashgar

  • All the conditions of the agreement are checked and corrected. The leader of the expedition has to be authorized to make decisions and to sign papers.
  • The scheme of moving and the schedule of work are being reconciled.
  • There you meet your liaison officer and an interpreter, with whom you will work throughout the entire expedition.
  • The Chinese side is interested in getting the payment in advance and in cash. If you are planning to have something done the way you like, you should go over that beforehand.
  • Every little thing has to be reconciled and copied down and the papers have to be signed by both sides.
  • You should keep in mind the schedule of moving through China. The time of trekking with caravan is set and it is not possible to change anything after the trekking has started. You should think about that beforehand.
